Everywhere you go today, you see the influence of interior designers.  The public's demand for design services has grown rapidly, especially in the last decade.  With that growth has come a wider range of specialties in the field.

Clover Park Technical College Prepares students in the interior design field, to be able to work with other interior designers, architects, home furnishing stores, contractors and builders. You will learn how space is used in residences, commercial enterprises and public spaces. You will recommend fixtures, wall coverings, color schemes, window treatments and furnishings, etc., taking into account building codes, merchandising and installation procedures. You will learn how to present ideas to clients using computer-aided design (CAD), sketches, working drawings, color and material boards, and verbal presentations. In preparing for your job search, you will serve as intern or participate in design projects requiring application of the skills you are learning. As you progress, you will prepare a portfolio of your work which can be used in the job search process.
